The information on this page refers to seeds of Papaver somniferum obtained from an online seed company, and may not represent the variety that is planted for the production of opiates. The information on this page will be updated once actual production seeds are obtained.
The seeds were germinated by placing in a container with a moist towel in the fridge for 3 weeks (so they were periodically exposed to light as the door was opened, probably daily):
